Frequently asked question
Q: How soon after my wedding do you need my flowers?
A: The quicker your wedding flowers arrive to me the better the results of your flowers will be when dried. I advise 72 hours at the absolute latest. The best way to ensure that your flowers are taken care of is to make a plan for delivering your flowers or dropping them off with me ahead of time. I strongly advise pre-booking your bouquet for preservation as we’re often fully booked and are unable to take last-minute bookings. You can pre-book here.
Q: How should I care for my flowers on the day of my wedding and before I give them to you?
A: Bouquets are generally out of water on the day of your wedding. When you’re no longer holding them, place them in a vase of water and store them somewhere cool. Once your wedding day is over, trim the stems and place them in fresh water. If you don’t care for your flowers they will wilt and turn brown when pressed. Your flowers need to be as fresh as possible when pressed to achieve the best results. Please do not spray the flowers heads with water as they need to be dry to press them.
Q: Can I deliver my bouquet to you?
A: Yes you can! This is a great option if you’re not local to Northampton and are unable to drop them off. If packaged correctly, your flowers will arrive to me safely and intact. When they arrive to me I trim them and give them some flower food to freshen them up before pressing them. You can also arrange for your packaged flowers to be collected to make this as easy as possible for you. Please read my drop-off and delivery instructions.
Q: How long will it take you to frame my wedding flowers?
A: Bouquet preservation is a slow and delicate art. The entire process from pressing, drying, designing and framing can take up to 10 weeks.
Q: How will I receive my frame when it is ready?
A: Collection and delivery are available. Because your frame is so valuable, unique and sentimental, all frames are posted using Royal Mail special delivery and is £25. For extra large frames, the price of delivery may increase.
Q: Do you accept white bridal bouquets?
A: I do but your bouquet must include a variety of different flowers. This is because white bouquets take a great level of skill to dry and ensure they retain their colour. My designs also look best when designed with different types of flowers.
I advise including foliage in your bouquet to add some contrast to your design.
