How does bouquet preservation work?
Your wedding bouquet is the accessory to the most special day of your life. Having it preserved creates an extremely precious memory of your big day.
I use traditional and natural methods to hand press and frame your wedding flowers, turning them into an everlasting piece of art to display in your home.
Every frame that is created is one of a kind and extremely unique to your wedding day.
There is a 10-12 week turnaround time for frames to be completed. During wedding season this may differ.
The preservation process
-
Deliver or drop off your bouquet within 72 hours of your event. Preserving your flowers whilst they are still fresh will achieve the best outcome and avoid discolouration.
When you make your booking, you will receive lots of information on how to look after your bouquet on your big day, as well as information on how to prepare your bouquet for drop-off or delivery.
-
I get to work with preserving your flowers as soon as they arrive.
I hand press each flower within your bouquet individually, often taking each petal apart.
Your flowers will be pressed for up to 4-6 weeks until they are completely dry. The time your flowers take to dry depends on each flower type.
-
I have 2 signature styles available (minimalist and bouquet style). Examples of these can be found here.
When booking your bouquet preservation you will be asked to pick your preferred style. If you are unsure, I can help advise on this.
You will be sent a final design of your frame before it is sealed to make sure you’re happy with it, along with your final invoice.
-
Your flowers will be framed and sealed, and then delivered back to you ready for you to display in your home (collection is available too).
Care instructions will be included to help you keep your flowers in tact forever.
If you have a white bouquet, it must have a variety of different flowers and foliage for me to be able to work with it. Please visit my FAQs to read more about this.
