Drop-off and delivery instructions for bouquet preservation

Dropping off your bouquet

Drop-off address: 33 High Street, Hardingstone, Northampton, NN4 6B

You will see 2 white cottages which are slightly set back on the High Street. My house is the cottage on the right.

What to do if I’m not in

Because I am also a wedding florist, I may be out working on a wedding.

If this is the case, please enter my garden around the back of the house and place your bouquet in the shed as this is a nice cool spot. There will be a vase of water and flower food for you to put your bouquet in.

Delivery options and instructions for packaging your bouquet

You can arrange for your bouquet to be collected and posted to me the following day. This service costs around £8.25.

To do this:

  1. Visit Royal Mails collection service

  2. Purchase your postage label by choosing ‘medium item’ and Royal Mail special delivery, guaranteed by 1 pm (it is essential that you select special delivery so that your wedding bouquet will arrive to me the next day).

  3. Enter my name and address: The Wild Sweet Pea, 33 High Street, Hardingstone, NN46BZ, as well as the sender's address

  4. Ensure you select the earliest collection option (usually the following day)

Alternatively, you can use any postage service but please post using the earliest possibly delivery.

Packaging your bouquet

If you are delivering your bouquet to me, please follow these instructions to ensure it arrives safely, and remains in good condition:

1. Take some damp paper towel and wrap it around only the stems, making sure the tips of the stems are covered

2. Cover the damp paper towel in a ziplock bag and secure it with rubber bands - this ensures that the petals don't get wet (this is really important) and the paper towel stays moist

3. Scrunch paper of some sort inside your delivery box (newspaper is fine!) to cushion your bouquet. You want to make sure that your bouquet is upright, secure and won't move around too much, but try not to crush it completely!

4. To help keep your flowers extra fresh, especially during warmer months, if possible, include an ice pack in your delivery box

5. Include your name on a piece of paper so I know who the bouquet belongs to

When packaging your bouquet, I advise making it clear that your parcel is fragile and writing ‘this way up’ on the box - don’t hold off on making this super clear on your package.
