An autumnal forest wedding - October 2023

The wedding of Sophie and George

A unique, autumnal forest wedding held in the gorgeous country side at Lilibet Wood, Suffolk. As the chosen florist for their special day, I had the privilege of creating enchanting florals that echoed Sophie and George’s love for Autumn, and this was key to the theme of their forest wedding.

Flowers featured: Dahlias, Chrysanthemums, Carnations, Roses, Antirrhinum and seasonal British foliage

The details

The ceremony took place in a picturesque forest, the weather was perfect and the sun was golden and low which played a big part in the romantic atmosphere we created.

To complement the season, I opted for soft pinks, burnt orange and red flowers. As with all of my flowers, I used locally grown flowers from Field Gate Flowers, Northamptonshire.

For the ceremony, guests were greeted by wooden seating and a natural archway made from trees directly from the forest itself.

A ceremony setting that lives perfectly in the wood through the use of wood from the trees in the wood itself.

It was an honour to be a part of Sophie and George’s big day, and to play a small role in bringing their vision to life. Their wedding was unique and being able to set up their wedding flowers in amongst nature was truly beautiful.
