If you’re having your bouquet preserved, make sure you select the right flowers
Creating a beautiful framed bouquet: The impact of flowers and colours
When it comes to preserving the memories of your special day, a beautifully framed bouquet can be a stunning and sentimental keepsake. The process of selecting flowers and colours for your bouquet not only reflects your style but also plays a significant role in how the final piece will look once framed.
My top tips for choosing flowers that will create a beautiful piece of art once framed, as an experienced bouquet preservation artist
Choosing the right flowers
When planning your bouquet, consider mixing shapes and textures alongside different types of blooms. Combining delicate flowers such as ranunculus or sweet peas with sturdy flowers such as roses and dahlias creates depth and visual interest. Variety is crucial for achieving a bouquet that stands out when framed.
The importance of colour palette
The colour palette of your bouquet plays a pivotal role in its overall impact. It’s essential to think about how these colours will translate once preserved. Soft pastels create a dreamy, romantic vibe and will fade and turn a ‘vintage’ kind of colour, whilst bold, vibrant coloured flowers will retain their colours the best and create more of a statement once pressed and framed.

The type of flowers in your bridal bouquet can dictate the style of your frame
We provide two bouquet preservation design styles: bouquet style and airy style. Most flowers are suitable for either style, so the choice ultimately depends on your personal preference and how you'd like the arrangement to appear in your home. However, certain flowers tend to shine more in one style than the other. For instance, if your bouquet includes many delicate blooms, our airy style is the ideal choice.
